2025 07/16

On July 14, 2025, in Seoul, South Korea, Golf China and the Korean SBS GOLF channel held a signing ceremony for the broadcasting rights of "2025 China Golf Indoor Open Championship and the Finals of the Golf China Open Championship". The president of Golf China, Park Young-soo, and the representative of SBS GOLF, Lee Sang-gyun, respectively signed the agreement on behalf of the two cooperating parties. Thus, the grand finale of the 2025 Golf China Open Championship will not only be broadcast on the mainstream video platforms in China - such as Sina Golf Video Channel/Weibo, but will also be aired for the first time on the Korean SBS GOLF channel.
The successful landing of the broadcasting rights in South Korea marks an important step for the Golf Classic China Open towards globalization: On one hand, it will leverage the mature golf culture environment in South Korea to verify the universality of the Chinese digital golf model, laying the foundation for the development of the Chinese digital golf cultural industry on a global scale. On the other hand, it will use the sports cultural exchange between China and South Korea as a pivot, radiating to the entire Asian market and even the global market, promoting the dissemination and promotion of digital golf culture in the Asian region. This "technology + event + culture" output model will not only enhance China's voice in the global sports industry, but also, through the borderless characteristics of digital technology, enable golf enthusiasts from different countries to form a value resonance in the Golf Classic China Open, promoting the global dissemination of digital golf culture.
Since its establishment in 2021, the Golf Supreme China Open has, with its unique digital event model, continuously rising event rewards and expanding participation scale, become an important force in promoting the popularization of golf in China and the development of digital golf culture industry.
In terms of the competition schedule, the Golf China Open has evolved from the initial "qualifying round + final round" format to various combinations such as "qualifying round + advancement round + final round" and "cooperative tournament + team competition + public challenge tournament". The event content has become more diverse, covering a wider range of players. In terms of rewards, the event has increased from the initial single round of 1.2 million yuan to 10 million yuan in 2025, highlighting its greater appeal and significant commercial value. In terms of the participation scale, the event has gradually demonstrated international influence by expanding from being open to all Chinese golf enthusiasts to introducing dozens of outstanding international female professional players. As of the end of the qualifying round in 2025, the Golf China Open had over 10,000 participants and more than 100,000 rounds of competition. The development of the Golf China Open not only reflects a high level of recognition and encouragement for the players' competitive abilities, but also demonstrates its determination to continuously strive for excellence, gradually shaping itself into a sports event IP with significant international influence in the golf field.
