On February 28, Beijing time, Daniel Berg entered the final round of the Honda elite race held in his hometown with a five shot advantage, creating the largest 54 hole lead in the 50 year history of the event. However, late Sunday local time, he had a scuffle with a group of hungry chasers in several holes of the Honda elite.
Daniel Berg was overtaken by Sean Laurie, Sepp straka and Kurt Beishan after hitting a bad four above par in the first six holes, warming up for the thrilling game at PGA National Club on Sunday.
In the penultimate group, Sepp straka grabbed the birdie in the 18th hole, took the lead in the guild hall, and finally hit 10 shots below the standard, winning the first US tour champion in his career and the first championship since the Korn ferry tour KC Golf elite in 2018.
He also became the first Austrian to win the US tour.
